Kids love to play on skis whether slow or fast, forward or backward, grinding or flying. The Freestyle Ski D-team provides an environment where kids can learn and develop in a safe atmosphere as they explore this newest aspect of snowsports expression. Freestyle skiing is a wild combination of skiing and acrobatics where individuals challenge themselves and the mountain over jumps, rails and boxes. Speed, skill and technique are just as important as creativity and form. Safety and skill development go hand in hand as the skiers learn park etiquette along with basic skiing skills while they build their repertoire of ‘tricks’. Practices are designed to be challenging and fun, while helping each individual develop his or her athletic skills and build confidence. For those who would like additional training and coaching an optional Tuesday evening session is available. Four competitions with other area Freestyle D-Teams are scheduled during the program, adding to the challenge and fun. One of the competitions will be a Skier Cross. Participation at any of the competitions is optional, and transportation is not provided. Lift tickets must be purchased at other area competitions. Mom's and Dad's, we have included some items for you in the Parent's Informationsection. Also, if you have two or more children enrolled in any of the Wild Mountain Snowsports School's Children's Programs there is a Family Discount. Be sure to check out our special Youth Season Pass when you sign up for a program, as well as our Season-long Rental Equipment. The take home rental equipment is great for kids who grow out of their gear each season - or sooner! |

If you have more than one child in the Wild Cat Club and/or D-Team you are eligible for the family discount. The first child will pay regular rates, each additional child will receive a $10 discount. For example child #1 is on the Freestyle D-Team, you would pay $260, child #2 is on the Snowboard D-Team and you would pay $250, child #3 is in the eleven week session of the Wild Cat Club and would pay $200. This is a $10 discount each for the second and third child. |

Youth enrolled in any of the D-Team programs may purchase a discounted season pass. The price varies depending on age and time of purchase, but it is always discounted from regular season pass cost. A Saturday or Sunday pass is valid on that day of week for the entire season - not just when the program is in session. A full season pass is valid seven days a week, from opening day to the last day of the season. Sunday Season Pass: (Ages 6-12): $179.99 (Ages 13-18): $224.99
Full Season Pass: (Ages 6-12): $229.99 (Ages 13-18): $299.99

No need to ‘oversize’ for growing feet. Need a bigger size halfway thru the season - come in and exchange! After you find the perfect boot we’ll match you with properly sized skis or board, compatible with you and your style of skiing or riding. Skiers grab a set of poles, sign the rental agreement and you are ready to go for the season. No more rental lines or rental expenses for the rest of the season, even if you visit another ski area. You take the equipment home with you every time, it’s ready to go whenever and wherever you go. No hassle, no fuss - simple and easy!
