Skiing, Ages 6-17

Are you ready for great skiing, fun competition and the chance to meet new friends? The Alpine Development Team is designed for young athletes who are interested in having fun and improving skills. Our specially trained coaches will help the athletes achieve their goals by developing strong skiing FUNdamentals. Low student to coach ratios allow the coaches to work with each skier, providing solid development and guidance. Time on the hill will be balanced between free skiing, directed free skiing, drills and gate training. For athletes who would like to receive additional coaching and practice time, optional Tuesday and Friday practice sessions are available. In addition to practices at Wild Mountain there will be three races with other area D-teams, culminating with the MSDL Championship Race at seasons end. Participation at any of the competitons is optional, and transportation is not provided. Lift tickets must be purchased at other area competitions. D-Team provides a challenging and fulfilling experience for all athletes as they spend the day with coaches and teammates building confidence and acquiring new skills.

Also, if you have two or more children enrolled in any of the Wild Mountain Snowsports School's Children's Programs there is a Family Discount. Be sure to check out our special Youth Season Pass when you sign up for a program, as well as our Season-long Rental Equipment. The take home rental equipment is great for kids who grow out of their gear each season - or sooner!

FAMILY DISCOUNT

If you have more than one child in the Wild Cat Club and/or D-Team you are eligible for the family discount. The first child will pay regular rates, each additional child will receive a $10 discount. For example child #1 is on the Alpine D-Team, you would pay $260, child #2 is on the Freestyle D-Team and you would pay $250, child #3 is in the eleven week session of the Wild Cat Club and would pay $200. This is a $10 discount each for the second and third child.

SEASON PASS

Youth enrolled in any of the D-Team programs may purchase a discounted season pass. The price varies depending on age and time of purchase, but it is always discounted from regular season pass cost. A Saturday or Sunday pass is valid on that day of week for the entire season - not just when the program is in session. A full season pass is valid seven days a week, from opening day to the last day of the season.

SEASON LONG RENTAL

No hassle rental at its best. This program is ideal for growing kids, bring them to Wild Mountain and let our knowledgeable rental staff fit them with a properly sized, comfortable boot. No need to ‘oversize’ for growing feet. Need a bigger size halfway thru the season - come in and exchange! After you find the perfect boot we’ll match you with properly sized skis or board, compatible with you and your style of skiing or riding. Skiers grab a set of poles, sign the rental agreement and you are ready to go for the season. No more rental lines or rental expenses for the rest of the season, even if you visit another ski area. You take the equipment home with you every time, it’s ready to go whenever and wherever you go. No hassle, no fuss - simple and easy! At the end of the season return your equipment with normal wear and your deposit will be refunded.
