Department Manager --  This is a year round position. 

Operating since 1972 WILD MOUNTAIN is a family owned and operated Summer Recreation Area offering a Waterpark, Alpine Slide, Go-karts, and our New Free Fall Experience. We also operate the Taylors Falls Scenic Boat Tours, Taylors Falls Canoe and Kayak Rental and Wildwood RV Park and Campground. During the winter WILD MOUNTAIN transforms into a Winter Recreation Area offering Skiing, Snowboarding, and Snow Tubing.

REQUIREMENTS: This position will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of one of our departments while providing support to all other departments. Although no experience in our industry is required, as we are willing to train the best candidate, guest service, management experience, and /or education is required.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

 -This is a physical operations position requiring you to spend 90% of your time in operations and about 10% of your time with administration. 

 - Hiring, training, motivating and scheduling of seasonal team members, mostly comprised of high school and college students.

 - Control of overall quality, guest service, cleanliness and organization of the departments you manage and support.

 - Control of expenses including labor and operating supplies.

 - Inventory, ordering and control of operating supplies, equipment and forms.

 - Department startup and shutdown at the beginning and end of each season.

 - Great guest service and interpersonal skills.

 - Availability to regularly work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

 - Ability to work outside in the elements of Minnesota winters and summers.

For some, the greatest benefit in joining the Wild Mountain Team is the flexibility of your schedule.  Whether you're looking for 10 or 40 hours a week, "Wild" has the position for you.  (Length of season and number of hours are never guaranteed.)

All shifts available.  Work Monday - Friday, Evenings, and / or weekends.  Must be at least 16 years of age.

Responsibilities include:  Exceeding guest expctations, ticket checking, safely loading and unloading guests, maintaining and recording conditions of the life equipment and loading and unloading ramps, building and grounds cleanup, and lift opening and closing duties. Most postions in this department are physically demanding, requiring repetitive motions including pushing and pulling of chair lift seats for guests.

 All shifts availalbe in a variety of positions including cafeteria, snack bar, chalet cleanup and all positions in the Eagles Nest Bar and Grill.

Depending on the department and position you are hired for, your responsibilities could include: Ringing guests orders in the point of sale system, collecting payments, cooking, cleaning, stocking, and organizing, food preparation, exceeding guests expectations and bar tending.

 This position is for the most positive, outgoing, and energetic team members.

Responsibilities include:  ultimate guest service, selling tickets, shop items, lessons, and season passes, assist with group check-in, helping guests with concerns, questions, locker and video game solutions, assisting the sales team by answering phones and other administrative office projects, chalet and facility organization, stocking and clean-up and completing opening and closing duties as assigned.

Snow tubing is like the waterpark of the winter.  We need versitile team members that can rotate through all positions inside and out.   You'll help guests as needed while keeping them safe and ensuring they have a great time. 

Responsibilities include:  Excellent guest service, selling tickets, shop items, and cafeteria food item, assisting guests with questions.  Outside you'll be ensuring safety on the conveyor, helping guest start their decent down the hill and then keeping them safe at the bottom.  Like any other department you will also be responsible for building and grounds cleanliness, inventory stocking, and effectively completing opening and closing duties as assigned.

Repsonsibilities include:  Great guest service, binding release calculation and adjustment, ski, snowboard, and boot sizing and rental, light cashiering and department and chalet clean up, stocking and organizing and opening and closing duties as assigned.  No previous experience or certification is necessary as we will train and certify you!

Typical shifts will be 7:30-5:30 four days / wk most of the season with 12 hour shifts, 8AM-8PM or 8PM - 8AM, during snow making.

Responsibilities include snow making and general building, grounds, and equipment maintenance and operations.  Although no professional experience is necessary, a good maintenance and mechanical aptitude are.  For a great candidate a full-time position may be offered if interested.

We are looking for a mechanically inclinded individual to maintain the appearance and maintenance of our buildings. Flexible schedule including number of hours and days worked per week.  

Responsibilities include light plumbing, electrical, and building and assembly projects, painting, changing light bulbs and fixtures as needed, light equipment trouble shooting, repair, and preventative maintenance, chalet cleaning including flooring, bathrooms, etc. and event set up and take down as needed.

Do you Love to Ski or Board? Wild Mountain is looking for YOU!!

Wild Mountain is currently seeking enthusiastic, guest service oriented individuals to join our SnowSports Team to share their passion for skiing and snowboarding.

No experience necessary, our training team will teach you all the basics of ski or snowboard instructing. Each candidate will attend a 3 day audition to assess their abilities, after which a hiring recommendation will be made.  Applications are currently being accepted and auditions will be held in the upcoming weeks.


IMPORTANT DATE CHANGE!  We are moving up the Dates of our SnowSports Hiring Clinics 

Our On Snow Hiring Clinic Dates will be Thursday,  November 30,  from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM as well as December 2nd (Saturday) & 3rd (Sunday) from 8:30 AM-2:30 PM. You must be in attendance for all three dates.  During this clinic you will learn 1. Guest Service  2.  Basic Progressions of Instructing.  3.  Teaching Models.  4.  Class Handling Techniques.  5.  Safety, Fun, and Learning.
